New FASA Field Complex officially opened Saturday June 15th! Fields look and play great as FASA Super Y and W20′s teams open park! 10 FASA fields are completed, and all home Super Y games will be played here this summer – and it will be the main complex used for the Washington Invitational Tournament (formerly Fredericksburg Cup), as well as travel games this fall. Congratulations to the U16 FASA Impact Premiere for winning Presidents Cup Championship in New Hampshire! The Impact traveled to New Hampshire over Memorial Day weekend and defeated the South Shore Gomes 2-1 in the Championship Match! The Impact will travel to Florida in July to compete for the National Presidents Cup Title! President’s Cup was designed by US Youth Soccer to create a mid-level competition for those looking to play against teams of similar abilities for a National Championship Title. Jessica Tritt and Kyle Pfohl named 2013 FASA College Scholarship Winners! Both of these outstanding individuals were athletic standouts playing many years for FASA teams, but equally impressive academically, and with numerous community service activities. Jessica will be attending Gardner-Webb next fall where she will be playing soccer. Kyle will also be playing soccer and attending Eastern Mennonite University. Click Here for Jessica’s Press Release. The Fredericksburg Area Soccer Association established the College Scholarship Program in 2006 to recognize student athletes that have been part of the FASA family and have excelled on and off the soccer pitch. FASA awards $500 to each winner and will continue to award the scholarship to at least two individuals on an annual basis.
